The Aledo band program was established in 1974 by the Aledo Band Boosters. The Aledo High School Band currently consists of 200 plus members which make up the marching band and three concert bands selected through auditions. Students may participate in additional fine arts that include Jazz Band, Choir, Music Technology, Music Theory, Applied Music, Drama, Art, and Colorguard/Winterguard. Every student participates in the UIL Solo and Ensemble Contest and most compete in the region, area, and state level band auditions through the Texas Music Educators Association.

The band has had a total of 79 Texas All State Band members.
